4-Day Classic Safari to Serengeti Ngorongoro & Tarangire

At 7:00am, you will be picked up from your hotel in Arusha. Your professional tour guide will meet you and begin the scenic journey to Tarangire National Park for an exciting game drive. You will travel in a private 4x4 safari vehicle, ensuring a personalized experience. Once inside the park, your safari begins. You will explore the vast savannah dotted with iconic baobab trees in search of elephants, lions, zebras, giraffes, and, with some luck, elusive leopards. Tarangire River attracts a high concentration of wildlife, making it one of the best places in Tanzania to witness large elephant herds and diverse species. With over 500 bird species, Tarangire National Park is also a paradise for bird lovers. Later in the afternoon, you will proceed to Escarpment Luxury Lodge for a warm welcome, dinner, and overnight stay. Nestled along the Great Rift Valley escarpment, the lodge offers a peaceful atmosphere with breathtaking views over Lake Manyara ideal for unwinding after your safari.

The adventure through the northern parks continues to Serengeti National Park. At around 07:00am, your guide will pick you up from your lodge and begin the journey, with a stop at the Olduvai Gorge. The drive to the park gate takes approximately three hours, followed by lunch at Naabi Hill Gate and an afternoon game drive. Serengeti National Park is one of Africa’s most iconic wildlife reserves and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Here, you will have the opportunity to witness the Big Five lion, leopard, elephant, rhino, and buffalo in their natural habitat.

Enjoy breakfast before heading out on a morning game drive through the Serengeti, soaking in the sights of wildlife one last time. You also have the option to add an early morning hot air balloon safari in Serengeti National Park. This unforgettable experience allows you to witness the sunrise from the sky and observe wildlife roaming freely across the plains below. After your picnic lunch, you will continue with a game drive transfer from Serengeti National Park to the Ngorongoro Highlands, heading to your accommodation located about 20 minutes from Ngorongoro Crater. This will ensure a more relaxed schedule and allow sufficient time for a full crater game drive the following day, thanks to the shorter distance from Serengeti to Ngorongoro.

Get up early and enjoy breakfast at the lodge to make the most of your day at the Ngorongoro Crater. After breakfast (around 7:00 am), you will depart for the Ngorongoro Crater within the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, when wildlife is most active. Upon arrival, you will descend into the crater for a full-day game drive, exploring its rich and diverse ecosystem. A picnic lunch will be served inside the crater, allowing you to continue enjoying wildlife viewing without interruption throughout the day. The Ngorongoro Conservation Area is a UNESCO World Heritage Site recognized for both its natural and cultural significance. Once you descend into the crater, you will have an excellent chance to spot the Big Five, including prides of lions, herds of buffalo, elephants, leopards, and black rhinos. You may also see bird species such as flamingos in the crater lakes, all within this remarkable natural environment. After the game drive, we will drive back to Arusha.
